To help us achieve this mission we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal team.

What you’ll do

As a listed company we have high standards for the quality of our business processes. In your role as Legal Counsel you will help to ensure CM.com’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations, review, draft and negotiate the legal documents. You will protect the company from risks by advising on various topics.

In addition to your all-round legal counsel role, there is an increased focus on supporting CM Payments, mainly our Payment Service Provider. This will include: expanding payments solutions, payment services provider relationships, regulatory, licensing and AML compliance issues for payments solutions. Furthermore terms of use for (marketplaces) payments services and innovative payments solutions. We expect that the time allocation between payments/general business will be 50/50.

The position requires a focus on client service, professionalism, confidentiality, and a high level of attention to detail. You will be reporting directly to CM.com’s Head of Legal and be based in our Breda HQ office. As a Legal Counsel at CM.com you will have an unique opportunity to work closely with CM.com management and other support departments, support the payments department and all of CM.com’s international offices and give support in negotiations/tenders.

What you offer

  • A master degree in law. Preferably with knowledge of financial law (WFT), compliance and contract law;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role as legal counsel or lawyer within a financial and/or payments institution;
  • Knowledge and work experience in the area of payments and compliance;
  • Strong analytical and good negotiation skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • You live in travel distance of our HQ in Breda (NL).
