Scanning tickets

This article is a step by step guide on how to use the CM Tickets scan app during your event.

  1. Download the CM Tickets Ticket Scanner on the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Open the CM Tickets scan app.

  1. Log in with the credentials you received via SMS earlier.
  1. Select the event you are going to scan for.
  1. Tap the CM logo to start scanning.
  1. Start scanning.
  1. Ticket status

During scanning it’s possible that the following statuses will be displayed:

VALID (GREEN)

The scanned visitor has a valid entry ticket.

NOT VALID – ALREADY CHECKED IN (RED)

The visitor is showing a ticket that is already scanned. The scan app shows the time between the valid and invalid scan. If this is less than 15 seconds, then it was probably scanned twice by accident. If it’s a longer period of time, there is a chance of fraud.

NOT VALID – TICKET DOES NOT EXIST (RED)

The ticket is not recognized by the database. It is an invalid ticket. This visitor isn’t showing a ticket for this event.

Check in tickets manually

Besides scanning, it’s also possible to manually check in visitors.

Why check in tickets manually?

When a visitor doesn’t have his ticket available, we make it possible to manually look up the ticket so it’s still possible for the visitor to check in. You can look up tickets by using name or barcode.

How do I check in tickets manually?

  1. Tap the magnifying glass on the Scan tab in the upper right corner.
  1. Search on the name or barcode of the ticket buyer.
  1. Tap the Check In button to manually check in the ticket.

Tips & tricks

If a power bank was sent along, you can use this during scanning to charge the iPod/Smartphone. In some cases the button on the power bank has to be pressed to activate the charging.

It is necessary to charge the power bank after the event. Fully charging the power bank will take approximately 8 hours.

If there are no tickets to be scanned in a certain period of time you can turn off and lock the screen to save battery life.

If there is insufficient lighting to scan the tickets, you can activate the flash. This is however at the expense of the battery life.
