Welcome to the Future: The Junior Hockey Framework

The Junior Hockey Framework is England Hockey’s unified vision for the sport, aligning schools, clubs, and communities to put young people’s development and experience at the centre. Grounded in research into child development and three core pillars - Culture, Experience, and Environment - this framework ensures purposeful delivery that makes the sport more visible, relevant, and accessible across England.

Primary schools are the gateway to the sport. To inspire the next generation, we have removed traditional barriers to delivery - including creating safe activities that require no specialist equipment like shin pads or gum shields.
