CM.com brings Conversational Commerce to the Middle East

Dubai is the 10th office in the CM.com network and the second in the MEA Region - the first being opened in South Africa. The Dubai office will be managed by Wael Ali Maksoud, Regional Director MEA at CM.com. CM.com’s Dubai office is opening with two staff members and has plans to double in the upcoming months. The new office will service CM.com’s clients in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, UAE, Egypt, and the rest of the region.

CM.com’s platform connects digital platforms with mobile phones worldwide, offering a smart combination of messaging channels, interactive voice solutions, and Europe’s most innovative payments solutions to a large audience. CM.com’s global clients include Accor Hotels, AXA, Mastercard and Domino’s.

Led by Wael Ali Maksoud, who joined CM.com 11 months ago as Regional Director MEA, the Dubai office will continue to work on CM.com’s MEA strategy and will focus on building out its presence in the region. CM.com is an official partner of WhatsApp and authorized distributor for WhatsApp Business, one of the very few companies with a presence in the MEA region. This provides the company with a unique position to gain quick market share.

Hodny Benazzi, General Manager at CM.com and responsible for the international expansion at CM.com, said: “We are delighted to have this new MEA presence for CM.com. The Middle East has witnessed a huge population growth over the past decades, going from 186 million people in 1990 to an estimated 410 million in 2018. It is a dynamic region that is fast to adopt new digital technologies. Relationship, trust and proximity are highly valued, probably above average. That is why a local office with local people of the same culture is key for success and for building brand and legitimacy in this region.

CM.com will focus on selling its conversational commerce solutions, including WhatsApp, Customer contact, SMS messaging and Texter solutions. Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp are very commonly used in the region, whilst Twitter is very popular in Saudi Arabia. SMS is also extensively used both for marketing, as well as authentication. We therefore see a lot of potential to sell CM’s solutions in this region.”
