Following 18 months of major upheaval, the live events industry is entering a new era - one that calls for progressive and new ways of thinking as it rebuilds itself from the ground up.
Founded in The Netherlands in 1999 by entrepreneurs Gilbert Gooijers and Jeroen van Glabbeek, CM.com initially launched a service which allowed nightclubs to send SMS messages detailing DJ set times, line up changes and offers to their patrons. As a DJ himself at the time, Gooijers saw a gap in the market for a service which allowed event organisers to communicate directly and effectively with their audience. Together with van Glabbeek, they developed the original technology and so the foundation for CM.com was laid.
Jeroen van Glabbeek, CEO CM.com says “We always say: selling tickets is just the start. It represents how we see the Music & Live sector, and has become a unique proposition on which we can link all CM.com solutions. We are able to create the ultimate event journey for our customers and their visitors. With Paul and his team coming on board, and everything we’ve learned in the Benelux so far, we are looking forward to rolling out this proposition in the UK & Ireland.”
