Product

  • Voice

Steps

In complying with the UK Regulator (OFCOM) request to stem the flow of inbound international calls to UK Fixed destinations with UK Network Number as CLI from a non-UK interconnect, carriers are forced to deploy network configurations to conform to National Interconnect Consultative Committee NICC (ND1447) “Guidance on blocking of inbound international calls with UK Network Number as CLI”.

For calls to the United Kingdom (+44) the following rules & regulations apply:

  • Inbound international calls received from an international trunk to UK Fixed destinations received with a UK number in either the P-Asserted-Identity or From header fields will be blocked, with the following exceptions:

  • Calls from a UK mobile number range (+447 range) will not be blocked, this is to ensure that UK mobile customers roaming overseas are able to make calls back to the UK.

  • Calls to destination numbers within Mobile Station Roaming Number (MSRN)/International Roaming Number (IRN) ranges will not be blocked, this is to ensure that calls from UK numbers destined to overseas customers roaming in the UK are not blocked.
