On the left side, in the sidebar, you can see where you are in the Customer Data Platform. When you are in the Insights menu, you can choose between Profile insights which shows the details of you profiles and Event insights, which shows the details of the different Events.

The main Profile Insights page easily provides you with a few insights into your data. For example, you see a mobile phone number under ‘Profile insights’.

This number represents your total number of profiles in the CDP. Based on your chosen subscriptions you have access to a fixed number of profiles, if you are reaching your limit you can always upgrade and have direct access to your additional contacts.

The main profile insights pages shows you the he most important primary data of a profile, when opening a specific profile you can see the complete profile and it’s timeline.

By clicking on one of the headers, the list will be sorted based on that value. For example, by clicking on ‘Email’, it will sort alphabetically. For date fields it will sort chronologically.

Single Profile

By clicking on one of the lines on the Profile insights page, the profile of this person will open.

On the left side you can find the details that belong to a profile. This contains for example, the name, city, country and e-mail address of a profile. You can setup as many profile characteristics as you want, in order to match your needs.

A timeline can be seen on the right side of the profile. This timeline shows all events that pass through a profile. Which events are shown depend on the sources that are linked to your Customer Data Platform. In the example below you can see that through 2 upload events, data came in for this profile and also a Profile Update has been done. By clicking on an event, the event unfolds more information.

These events can be anything, think of:

  • Profile updates (additional profile info),
  • Email campaigns (sent - delivered - opened),
  • Ticket flows (ticket sale, ticket scan, ticket cancel, ticket refund)
  • Consent

At the top right of the profile you see a button with three dots. If you press this button, you will see four functionalities:

  • Export data: With this button you can export the profile and the events from the profile.
  • Consents: This button indicates whether the customer has given permission to receive marketing communications. By clicking on the button you can change the privacy settings of the profile.
  • Update details: Clicking on this will get you in the screen to edit the profile details manually.
  • Delete: Please note! With this button you delete a profile. Never delete a profile unless indicated by the customer (owner of the data), because this profile can not be restored.

Event insights

If you don’t want to look at customer profiles but at one specific event, you can do this with Event Insights. In Event Insights you can select an Event in the selection bar under Event type. By doing this you will see the insights changing with the data associated with that event. At the top right you can export this information as CSV.
