AI Infrastructure for Banking, Government and Healthcare
The partnership focuses on banks, insurers, governments, healthcare providers and other organizations that want to use AI but are bound by strict data, compliance and governance regulations.
"AI is developing incredibly fast, but many organizations can't keep up without restrictions," says Jeroen van Glabbeek, CEO of CM.com. "Risks around data, legislation and dependence on foreign technology are slowing down innovation. By combining hardware, infrastructure and AI software in an integrated European AI infrastructure, we're making it possible to deploy AI safely and responsibly at scale."
Digital and Technological Sovereignty
The partnership combines VOLT's AI data centers, including the planned AI Gigafactory in Rotterdam, with powerful GPU infrastructure, and CM.com's AI application platform. This enables organizations to develop, train and scale AI applications entirely within European regulations.
Inspired by initiatives like the German Delos Cloud and Open Telekom Cloud, CM.com and VOLT are taking a concrete step towards digital and technological sovereignty in the Netherlands.
"Our AI Gigafactory forms the backbone of this new generation of European AI infrastructure," says Han de Groot, CEO of VOLT. "Combined with CM.com's AI platform, this creates a complete, end-to-end alternative for organizations that want to keep control over their data and technology."
The joint solution offers maximum data sovereignty, compliance and energy efficiency, delivered entirely within Europe.
The first services launch in 2026.
