CM.com, the global leader in Conversational Commerce, announces today that it has acquired TraceDock, a privacy-friendly first-party data collection service founded in 2019. With the strategic acquisition, CM.com will enrich its Mobile Marketing Cloud, allowing companies to achieve personalised communication with their customers. With this integrated approach, CM.com solidifies its position as the leading platform that helps marketers optimise the entire customer journey.
TraceDock is a software solution that lets companies collect first-party data from website visitors, even without cookies if necessary. The company was founded in 2019 and has scaled rapidly with active users in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany. Many marketing agencies, such as Merkle, Dept, ISM eCompany, Fingerspitz, IMPACT Extend, and Maxlead, use TraceDock to get more accurate reports of website traffic throughout their complete customer journey. TraceDock is used by more than 500 websites and counts HEMA, VanMoof, Simpel, NS, the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Corendon, en Independer among its customers. TraceDock was built on privacy-by-design principles and complies with the AVG, GDPR, and CCPA legislation.
Boris Schellekens, CEO of TraceDock: “We immediately saw a logical match in CM.com. The company focuses on smart, technological solutions and has a realistic and down-to-earth view of technology. Our solutions complement each other well and enable companies to make the most of the available data. Above all, our mindset is the same: a focus on privacy, which puts the interests of the customer and the user first.”
Jeroen van Glabbeek, CEO of CM.com: “This acquisition helps us to enable our customers to gain more insights from first-party data. We are going to integrate TraceDock with our Mobile Marketing Cloud. This will allow TraceDock to grow even further internationally than it already does independently.”
The founders of TraceDock (Boris Schellekens and Jaap Breeuwer) will remain involved with TraceDock for at least two years and will work in that capacity at CM.com.
