Over a billion people worldwide, 1 in 6 people, live with some form of a significant disability. At CM.com we value ease-of-use and are deeply committed to including everyone through continuously improving the accessibility of our products & services.
Accessibility isn't a one-time achievement, it’s an ongoing journey. Every day, we work to remove barriers in our technology and open new doors. Our goal is to go beyond legal requirements and embed digital inclusion into our DNA, ensuring everyone has access to fully participate in society.
We have built accessibility into our process: from design and development to testing and iteration. We’re designing inclusive experiences that go beyond legal requirements, not just to comply, but because it’s the right thing to do.
Accessibility is a shared responsibility at CM.com. Our teams actively identify challenges, test solutions, and build with inclusive design in mind — so users can complete key tasks with ease.
Auditing products & services - Actively auditing our products & services, both consumer facing and client facing, will help us identify and fix gaps.
Automated testing - We use technology to monitor and screen products for accessibility issues.
Training internal experts - We are equipping colleagues with the latest accessibility expertise through education.
Establishing governance - We are establishing a governance structure to support continuous improvement and long-term accountability.
While many improvements have already been implemented, some areas remain in progress. Our current focus areas include:
Keyboard navigation: Adding the correct code semantics so our products can be functionally used by assistive technologies.
Alternative content: Adding alternative content for certain media items so users with assistive technologies can digest the content.
Color Contrast: We’re adjusting text and background colors to meet contrast standards.
Interactive Elements: We’re updating ARIA roles and attributes for better screen reader support.
Video Content: Captions and transcripts are being added to our video library; transcripts are also available on request.
Page Structure: We are enhancing layouts using semantic HTML to support consistent navigation.
Forms: Labels and error messages are being refined for better usability with assistive tools.
Unclear Link Text: We are updating links to be more descriptive, so their purpose is clear when read on their own or by screen readers.
Physical devices: We are critically reviewing our inventory of physical devices.
We strongly believe that making our products accessible is not a one-time fix but a long-term promise. As user needs evolve and technologies advance, we’ll continue to refine and improve. Accessibility is part of how we build, how we think, how we grow and who we are.
