Club Mahindra is India's leading vacation ownership brand, part of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL), a Mahindra Group company. Since pioneering the vacation-ownership model in India in 1996, Club Mahindra has grown into a network of 140+ resorts in India and abroad, serving a member community of over 300,000 families.
Running a member base of that size while also engaging a constant flow of prospects who haven't purchased a membership yet, means coordinating a huge volume of touchpoints, spanning everything from first marketing outreach to resort communication and collections. Club Mahindra turned to CM.com's WhatsApp Business messaging and chatbot automation to bring many of those touchpoints, both prospect-facing and member-facing, onto one consistent, conversational channel.
Before CM.com, communication with both prospects and members across Club Mahindra was fragmented. Different teams reaching people through different tools and channels, with no consistent, conversational way to have two-way exchanges at scale. Much of this communication was one-directional, manual, or slow to personalize, creating inconsistent experiences depending on which part of the business someone was interacting with.
Club Mahindra needed a channel that could support high-volume, automated conversations, not just outbound alerts, and that could scale from one team's use case to many without standing up a new tool or integration project each time.

Club Mahindra has deployed CM.com's WhatsApp Business messaging and chatbot automation across multiple departments spanning the full journey from prospect to member, from initial marketing outreach all the way through to collections. A single WhatsApp-based engagement layer now supports campaigns, service conversations, and high-volume operational communication that were previously manual or handled through disconnected channels.
To power these WhatsApp journeys with accurate, up-to-date member context, Club Mahindra syncs relevant member data into CM.com's Customer Context Platform (CXP). This works alongside rather than in place of the marketing automation and CRM systems Club Mahindra already runs, so every chatbot conversation is personalized without duplicating or replacing their existing systems of record.
As each new department has adopted WhatsApp as a channel, that same chatbot and CXP foundation has been reused rather than rebuilt, letting Club Mahindra extend conversational engagement to a new part of the business without a new platform or a new integration effort.
The same WhatsApp chatbot foundation also extends beyond prospect and member communication: Club Mahindra uses it to run NPS and feedback surveys for internal processes, such as gathering feedback on Relationship Managers and Tele Marketing Executives. In other words, the same conversational channel spans the full range from the prospect journey, through ongoing member engagement, to internal feedback processes, all running on WhatsApp rather than email, IVR, or web forms.
At the center of this is CM.com's WhatsApp Business API and chatbot automation, connected to a Customer Context Platform (CXP) that receives synced member data from Club Mahindra's existing systems. This combination lets Club Mahindra launch new WhatsApp-based journeys for additional parts of the business quickly, using member context that's already current, rather than starting from scratch each time.
Automated, two-way conversations at scale: template messages, quick replies, and chatbot automation handle campaigns, service, and payment reminders without a person on the other end.
One live customer profile, not a copy: CXP keeps one profile per member, updated in real time from Club Mahindra's existing CRM and marketing systems.
Built to extend, not rebuild: new departments reuse the same chatbot and CXP foundation, and CXP Predictions can flag signals like next purchase or churn risk.

Qualitatively, the shift has been from manual, one-off member communication to structured, automated WhatsApp conversations running consistently across the parts of the business that touch a member, from the moment a lead enters the funnel through to post-stay follow-up, with a single conversational channel tying each stage together.
Building on that foundation across multiple departments, Club Mahindra and CM.com are exploring an Agentic AI Concierge using HALO connected to the CXP and WhatsApp. Rather than being limited to member support, the ambition is to bring agentic, conversational AI across the entire prospect-to-member journey, extending the same conversational approach to an even wider range of interactions.
CM.com helps businesses automate and personalize customer conversations on WhatsApp and other messaging channels, powered by chatbot automation and a connected Customer Data Platform.
Across the journeys Club Mahindra has moved onto WhatsApp — membership sales lead outreach and FIT campaigns, referrals, and NPS/feedback collection, including internal feedback processes — the pattern has been consistent: a conversational, chatbot-led experience converts noticeably better than the traditional approach it replaced. That holds true right across the spectrum, from the prospect journey, through ongoing member engagement, to internal process feedback.
Referrals are the clearest example. Referral journeys run through the WhatsApp chatbot are converting members at a meaningfully higher rate than the previous approach of redirecting members to a website, microsite, or form to complete the referral, simply by keeping the entire interaction inside a single conversational thread instead of asking members to switch channels partway through.
